On a recent trip back to my home town, my wife and I drove around the streets I grew up on. Every street full of its own memories, I began to remember good times and bad times. It’s amazing how quickly your mind can rehearse old scenes from your past. I was reminded of where I came from, only to leave me thankful of where I am and where I am going.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says it best, “…if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away and behold, all things have become new.” No matter where you have come from, remember that you have already gone through it. Go through your past, don’t stop in it as the enemy tries to rehearse your past failures. We have the victory in Christ Jesus over our past, as well as a promise of a great and brighter future.
