Back To The Future

Many people are taught many different ways of going to God. We are told many ways that we can receive from Him, while some tell us that there is a good chance that we won’t receive from Him. Today we are going to look into God’s Word and determine how we can be certain that we will receive from God every time that we approach Him.

Present V.S. Future

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Faith is now. It is in the present tense. Hope is future tense. There is a difference between what the world calls hope and what the Bible calls hope. The world uses hope this way, “I sure hope I get a raise at work this year…” That is more wishing than it is hoping. Saying it that way presents that there is a good chance that you may not get the raise that you are wishing for. Bible hope is a confident expectation that you will receive what it is that you are believing for.

(AMP) Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Using faith is a must in your life. Faith is the title deed to the thing that you are hoping for. Hope confidently expects it to happen, faith makes it happen. Your faith is the receipt, the confirmation number, proving that it has bought and paid for. You cannot question whether or not it is yours, you must stay in the present, don’t go back to the future. Going back to the future takes from away from the present. Going back to the future takes you from faith and into hope. Your hope needs faith in order to see substance and evidence. Hope believes that one day it will happen, faith believes that it has already happened.

Tracking Number and Delivery Options.

The Holy Spirit will always prompt you on delivery dates. Some things God places in your heart that may not ship for 15 years, however, that doesn’t mean that they haven’t already been bought and paid for. Jesus’ Blood bought and paid for everything that God is trying to get to you. His Blood is the confirmation number.

Refuse To Move

Hebrews 6:19 says that hope is the anchor for our soul. Your soul is your mind, your will, and your emotions. Most people are led by their emotions. Let’s face it – we are naturally emotions creatures. You see something funny, you laugh. You hear something sad, you cry. You have someone do you wrong, you get mad. Either of these emotions can control your whole day. We cannot be led by emotions; we must be led by faith. Hope is the anchor for your soul. An anchor is used so that you are not moved from the position that you wish to remain in. To remain in the position of faith, we must lower the anchor of hope. We must, in the midst of a storm, have a confident expectation that we are coming out, then, when our faith is mixed with our hope, substance and evidence is seen.

Don’t Go Back To The Future

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith is what pleases God. God rewards faith. You can never go to God in faith and leave unrewarded. If you have not received a reward lately, you may want to check and see if you are in faith. Whatever it is that you are believing God for, don’t go back to the future, faith is in the present! Believe that you have already received it and you will have it.
